ABOUT ME — NICOLE (NIC) ROBERTSON

I’m Nic Robertson. Reformed serial apologiser. Fashion-forward practitioner. Someone who knows what it's like to carry things your body hasn't finished processing yet.

Depression, anxiety, a late ADHD diagnosis, unresolved trauma and here’s the kicker… I've navigated all of it. Not from the outside looking in, but from the inside trying to find a way through. What I discovered along the way became the foundation of this practice.

Not just the tools and the training but the understanding that healing happens when you feel genuinely safe enough to be all of yourself. The messy, the too-muchness, the not-enoughness. The good, the bad, the ugly.

I'm a certified Compassionate Inquiry-informed coach trained in Dr Gabor Maté's approach, a Somatic Coach trained at the Somatic School London, a Certified Clinical EFT Tapping Practitioner, and a Registered Meditation Teacher. My work is client-led, trauma-educated, and evidence-based.

After 25 years in corporate marketing and advertising I bring a different kind of literacy to this work — an understanding of how people communicate, what they're actually asking for underneath what they say, and how to create experiences that land rather than just instruct.

Why the body? Why this way?

Because your body has been keeping score long after your mind moved on.

Most of us spend years living from the neck up, thinking our way through feelings, managing our reactions, pushing through. And it works, until it doesn't. The anxiety that won't quit, the exhaustion that sleep doesn't fix, the sense that something's off but you can't name it — that's your body asking to be included in the conversation.

My work is about giving it a seat at the table. Not because feelings are the answer to everything but because the body holds information your mind has been too busy to hear. When you learn to listen to it, you stop fighting yourself so hard.

That's the whole thing, really. Everything else is just the toolkit.

I walk alongside you. Not ahead of you. Alongside.

WHY I CREATED THE NEURO—WELLNESS LAB

For years my work focused on the inner landscape, beliefs, stories, emotions, nervous system patterns. It still does. But I kept seeing the same thing in myself and in clients: people who understood exactly what was happening, yet whose bodies were still stuck in survival mode.

Insight alone wasn't enough.

I added the NeuroWellness Lab because I wanted a way to support the body and brain alongside the mind — with data, not guesswork.

NeuralChek HRV scans let us see how your nervous system is actually coping with life. Not what you think it's doing. What it's actually doing.

BrainTap gives your brain a guided pathway into calmer, more coherent states — supporting stress resilience, sleep, and mental clarity without asking you to try harder.

Flowpresso and LightStim offer deeply restorative body-based experiences that help your system down-shift out of constant activation and remember what it feels like to genuinely exhale.

These tools don't replace the inner work. They amplify it. They help the shifts you're cultivating through somatic coaching, Compassionate Inquiry, EFT, and meditation land in a nervous system that's actually ready to receive them.

Every modality and piece of technology was chosen intentionally — research-informed, nervous-system-first, and gentle enough for people who are already carrying a lot.

ABOUT YOU —

You are the expert in you. I just have a toolkit I've found helpful and want to share.

Whatever brings you here — burnout, anxiety, relationship stress, a diagnosis that finally made sense of everything, or simply a quiet feeling that something needs to change — you don't have to arrive with the right words.

You might be someone who holds everything together for everyone else and is ready to hold something for yourself. Someone whose body has been trying to tell you something your mind keeps overriding. Someone who has done the work before and is ready to go deeper.

All of you is welcome here. The messy, the too-muchness, the not-enoughness. We can just say it how it is.

Sessions are available in person in Christchurch and online.
