You’ll step into a space that is judgement‑free, open‑hearted, and centred on your nervous system—not your performance. This is your time to down‑shift, breathe, and be fully supported.
Consult & Personalisation
We’ll briefly check in on your sleep, stress, energy and current priorities (rest, focus, reset, recovery, etc.). From there, we’ll select a BrainTap® session category that matches what your system needs most that day. No generic playlists—everything is intentionally chosen.
Settle In
You’ll recline comfortably (chair or bed) with the BrainTap® headset on, eyes closed. The headset delivers gentle light pulses through the visor and synchronised audio through the headphones so your brain can begin to follow the guided rhythms into deeper calm.
The Session Itself
You’ll listen for around 20–30 minutes to a guided BrainTap® session tailored to your goal (sleep support, stress reset, focus, recovery, etc.).
You may feel warmth, heaviness, pleasant drifting, or a sense that your body is deeply resting while your mind stays calmly aware.
Some people notice colours or shapes behind their eyelids; many simply feel “lighter, clearer and more grounded” afterwards.

BrainTap is designed to help calm your nervous system, reduce stress and support deeper, more restorative sleep. Many people also report improved clarity, focus and energy as they use BrainTap consistently over time. As with any wellness tool, your experience will be individual.

This is a normal response. When you use the BrainTap headset, cerebral blood flow can increase, which may cause your ears to feel warm or appear slightly red. The warmth is not generated by the lights themselves and is not harmful.

When Using Your BrainTap Headset at home.
If the headset isn’t behaving as expected over Bluetooth, try:Checking that the BrainTap headset is selected and connected in your device’s Bluetooth settings
Turning Bluetooth off and on again, then re‑pairing the headset
Making sure the headset isn’t still paired with another device; if it is, unpair it there first
If you hear audio only from your phone or tablet (not the headset), deleting or “forgetting” the connection in your Bluetooth settings and pairing again

When using your BrainTap at Home. This is usually a connection issue:
If you’re using a wired aux cable, make sure the cable is firmly plugged in on both ends
If you’re using Bluetooth, stay within about five feet of your phone or tablet for the best audio quality
If problems continue, remove or “forget” the headset in your Bluetooth settings and complete a fresh pairing

When using the BrainTap headset at home.
With a full charge (charging indicator light green), your BrainTap headset will typically last for around 15–20 sessions, though this can vary slightly when using Bluetooth. If you’re having charging issues:
Make sure you’re using the supplied USB‑C charging cable and power cube
Check the cable for any damage or fraying
Confirm that the charge indicator light comes on when the headset is plugged in
If your headset still does not charge or hold a charge as expected, please reach out to BrainTap or the NeuroWellness Lab for support for further assistance.

When using the BrainTap headset at home. The visor lights are activated by the audio signal and volume level. If they aren’t working as expected:
Ensure the volume on your audio device is turned up to at least 70% of its maximum
If using an aux cable, make sure it is firmly connected on both ends and try swapping ends to ensure a good connection
Remember that the light features are designed to work with the BrainTap app; when used with other audio, the headset will function like standard headphones, without the same light patterns
